Editorial Policies

Every formula on CalcPilot is checked against the calculator's own code before it's published — worked examples use the calculator's real default values and its real computed result, not a rounded-off approximation written separately.

What we do

Explanations are written in plain language, aimed at someone who wants the right number and, if they're curious, wants to understand how it was calculated. Formulas cite standard, publicly documented methods (e.g. Mifflin-St Jeor for calories, standard amortization for loans) rather than anything proprietary.

Corrections

Found an error in a formula, an explanation, or an example? Tell us on the contact page and we'll fix it — calculator pages keep an edit history, so changes are traceable.
